perfect spot for exploring landmarks and beautiful parks
during my stay, I loved how close the cottage was to St Mary’s, a beautiful landmark just over 3 km away, and enjoyed scenic walks to the nearby White Horse of Kilburn, which was less than 5 km away and offered stunning views.

Lack of access to the garden despite its beauty from the breakfast area. Limited travel options due to no bus route nearby made getting to attractions a bit of a hassle. No aspects to dislike mentioned during the stay, which is notable.

It’s a bit of a hassle that there’s no bus route nearby, making trips to local attractions somewhat tricky. We also couldn't access the beautiful garden that we could see from the breakfast table given how lovely it looked. Just a few small drawbacks, but nothing to overshadow the overall enjoyment of the stay.

A warm welcome at Swan Cottage
Arriving at Swan Cottage, we were greeted by the charming Suzy, who instantly made us feel at home. Our spacious Deluxe King Room boasted an incredibly comfortable bed, a modern en suite bathroom, and a well-appointed shower. Breakfast was a delight, featuring a variety of delicious options that fueled our days of exploration. Suzy's attentiveness and warmth as a host really stood out, and she even helped us secure a lovely dinner reservation at the local pub, which was friendly and welcoming.
While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, it’s worth noting that the charming, olde worlde character of the cottage comes with some limitations in terms of modern amenities. It may not suit those who prefer sleek, contemporary accommodations, but we found the quaint atmosphere quite endearing.

Couples will love this place
We had to deal with a sad situation, but Suzie made things comfy. Had a chat by the fire, the warmth from her house felt like home.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but it was acceptable.

Unfortunately, the lack of a bus route was a disadvantage, and I would have loved access to the beautiful garden that was visible from the breakfast table.
